Faith's Grad Album

Well, I finally finished Faith's Grade 12 Grad Album. I began it months ago by taking white cardstock and stamping them entirely with Tim Holtz stamps and a couple of my own that were appropriate. I blended them (some lighter and some darker) but used one group of colors on all of the pages. I used a lot of bling and flowers and found some quotes that were very Faithish. I made the album 8 x 8 and Zuttered it. Then I used a stand and screwed the back chipboard page to the stand. Faith can look at either side and keep it on her desk and look at whichever page she wants.

Faith's Grad Album

It was very easy to take these pictures. Faith looked amazing in her dress. Her tan made it all that more spectacular. Her hair, nails and accessories made the look complete. It was great to see Jade, Sky and Lucas participate in the whole day. They all looked wonderful. It really made my parent's day when we visited the nursing home all dressed up. I think "Super Great" were the words my dad used to describe Faith. Spectacular, beautiful, amazing and gorgeous were other words other people used to describe her.

I loved making this book for Faith. I knew she would appreciate the time and thought it took. Eventhough I did 32 pages, I doubt I will put all of the pages on my blog.

Faith's Grade 12 Grad

Wow, what a busy few days. Grad went along wonderfully. Faith looked absolutely beautiful and we had a great day for taking pictures. We went to the river for a few hours and had so much fun with her and her dress. Grad ceremonies and banquet and dance were nice. I had all of my children together for the day which doesn't happen much anymore. I have to get out and get some of these pictures printed today before I go to work. Pages and the albums should be done soon.

One Crazy Day

Well, I have tried to get some pages up. I did these five last night after work. I sat and watched the most depressing movie and then decided to watch a comedy afterward to cheer myself up. I did these at the same time. I have been busy with work and with our store's 10th Anniversary weekend, it has been crazy. Faith's Grade 12 Grad is on Thursday, staff parties, etc., will make this week completely nuts. Apparently I am Faith's official photographer for her grad experience. So it looks like I will have a ga-zillion photos by Friday. She finally got her dress after the fiasco of getting it in at the wrong size and only having weeks to re-order, re-make and re-ship it from China. Well, we got it, got it altered and she came to try it on at JSI during the Anniversary weekend. I'd have to say it was a hit with the ladies . . . and really Faith did look gorgeous in her princess dress. You will see it soon enough on my blog.
Just another page done with older pictures. The journaling is on a circle that can be pulled out. Got to get some rest now. I've been sick since Easter and can't shake this bug. I am exhausted!

Picture Perfect Ballerina

Sky and I could not remember the name of the dance she did in this costume. I do remember though that she loved the dress and the flowers that surrounded her head and the top of the organza apron. She has her stage make-up on and was very happy to pose for a few pictures. Ahhh, they grow up so fast.

Wild Thing

This picture has always reminded me of a Dr. Seuss character. Sky loved green and this sweater was one of her favorites because of the soft feathery stuff around the hood. This paper was new and matched the feeling of the picture so I made it quickly and simply. Since the picture is so cute, I wanted to make the page simple so I wouldn't lose it.

River Stuff

We got in this wonderful travel paper. But, since I don't travel much, I found a use for it. The colors worked well and were very "Sky" colors back at this time of her life. We had gone for a walk down by the river and collected things. We couldn't go in the river because it was high and the current was dangerous. We just had to stay on our side and explore there.

Sky and Lucas - Growing Up Together

Here I used some Lime Rickey paper from Basic Grey and some old vellum quotes and Basic Grey letter stickers. It looks like I may have some scrapbooking time and supplies to use up this summer. Maybe I can get caught up -- if there is such a thing. With Faith's Grade 12 Grad this week, I'll probably be scrapping that all summer.
