WUTEVR

THIS TOO IS SKY . . . BUT NOW . . . THIS IS WHAT SHE DOES WHEN I ASK HER TO SMILE. SHE IS REALLY A PRETTY GIRL, BUT LIKE HER MOM, DOESN'T LIKE THE CAMERA.

My Helper

There was always a chair pulled up to my kitchen counter with someone's small hands helping with food preparation. It didn't matter whether it was baking or appetizer making, they held the spoons, spun the bowl or tasted whatever we were making.

Queen of the Remote

This has always been a favorite picture of mine. I guess with the colors, it should have been easy to scrapbook. I have taken it out a few times; but the paper didn't fit. Well, Sky is 14 now, so it really took awhile to get together.

Rolling Down the River

While at Bare Butt Beach, I got these pictures of Lucas rolling in the sand and then jumping in the river. He loved it. Couldn't believe he could have this much fun this close to Saskatoon. I Glimmer Misted the paper first, then the letters and swirls. I put Stickles swirls on the pages too. The pictures are pretty much what Bare Butt Beach is and always will be about.

Sing Your Heart Out

I think everyone knows that I dislike doing "holiday" pages. I found this picture of Lucas singing his heart out and had to scrap it. Later I noticed that they are all holding hearts. So, it all worked out.

Happy "If You Can Call This Summer"

Well, I'm on Eclipse. I have been waiting for this book for three days. Couldn't sleep because I didn't have anything to read. Maybe I'll get to sleep before 4 am tonite. Probably not with the new book. Anyhow, have some new pages and will get them photographed and up asap. Well, Faith has graduated Grade 12, she got a tattoo for a grad gift from her dad. You will see that page shortly. My Jader turned 17 today and Lucas turns 12 the day after tomorrow. See, I am staying busy. Hope you are all enjoying your holidays.

I feel a bit bad that I haven't blogged lately. I have been working on a class and doing some other pages that take some time...drying time. Soon though, I will have some pages up. I have been taking some time with my kids to do summer things. I even remembered to take my camera the other day to BareButt Beach. It really is a nice place...if you don't think about the name much. Well, not sure what to do today. Seems like the perfect day for a bike ride...oh, ya, though that won't be happening. Someone decided they needed my bike more than I did and stole it out of my backyard. What really rips me off is that it isn't worth anything of value...it just meant time for me to spend with my son going for rides together. Unfortunately, I really can't afford a new one. Hope everyone is enjoying their holidays. I'll hold down the fort here in Saskatoon. I should mention a big thank you to my daughter Faith. She is lending me her Twilight books to read over the summer. That should keep me busy.

Okay, so I think I'm about done Rhea and Mike's Wedding pages. Since I have some free time to play at work, I have been doing "the dirty". I promised myself that I wouldn't get into Glimmer Mist and Tim Holtz's Color Washes. Whooops! They just look so good on Faith's Grad pages and then the craze spread onto most of my other pages. The problem is, that it takes awhile to dry . . . and since I don't have the patience to work with them with plastic gloves on, my fingers always look like my other job is as a mechanic -- stained fingers etc. But, it's so much fun and the colors are amazing!!! Oh well, we'll see what I get accomplished during the summer. Maybe since I'm not so busy, I can find my creative side again. I hope you all have a safe and relaxing summer.

Dance

I was so excited to do this page. I love this picture because it really captures who Faith is. She is a carefree spirit who loves to have fun. I love scrapbooking these colors. I am even really beginning to enjoy the glimmer mist. This is how it looked when I left the store today. We'll see what I do to it tomorrow. It has been a fun week working more at Just Scrap It this week. I've been getting creative again.

Bridesmaids and Groomsmen

I used some stickles, rub-ons, scalloped die, lace, more rub-ons and bling on this page.

Love Story

Family of the Groom

I wanted this to be a fun page so I added the gerbera daisies. I used the "Kristy" letters for the title. I explained the game on a tag which is tucked under the pictures.

1st dance

I added a rubber stamp on the corner, some flowers and stickles, stickles, stickles.

I love this picture of Faith. I really enjoyed taking these pictures. She looked so wonderful it is so easy to scrapbook these pictures.
I have had these embellishments for awhile and have been waiting to use them. But the background green and the embellishments green were different. I felt that you couldn't see the silver "Class of 2009" so I added stickles. It works for the official grad photo.

My Love

I have saved this paper for the wedding and these pictures worked so well with it. I added some ribbon and that was about it.

Family of the Bride and Groom

So, what I cut out of one page, I used on the other. The same . . . but different. Used the same vellum sayings.

Toasts

You can't tell from the picture; but the flourish and title are glimmer misted. I think the journalling and I was thinking some bling would finish this page. I'm getting there Rhea and Mike. Your album is my summer project.

Take My Hand

Well Rhea, as you can see, you will need to do some journalling on these pages. I've done the basics and will probably put a few more embellishments on most of them; but it is up to you to write your memories on the pages. You go girl...I know you can do it.

The Reception

Together

Well, I added a little title.

Aftergrad

This was drawn at Faith and Mike's aftergrad. I thought the lady that did it, did a great job. This was one picture I had to keep because it looks so much like Faith and Mike. With the B-Zoo line, the page was easy. Just had to add a title, bracket, some white paint and it was done. Even Faith said that the paper was perfect.

You Don't Marry . . .

Another Wheeler Wedding page. I liked that I could scrapbook a page without the oranges that I have been using. Love this page. May have to add to it yet; but I liked it. Think it needs a title. Any ideas ladies?

Wedding

Okay, with the clearness of the day, I have suddenly realized how to do this. Maybe I needed some sleep. Mind you that's all I have been doing since school let out. That and eat. Man, if the weather would improve, I could go for a walk or bikeride. Anyhow, here goes another try at blogging these pages worthily (if that's a word)?

Our Wedding

Well, while I won't do all of the wedding pictures, I have a handle on quite a few of them now. I had to find all of them and figure out what I had done. I have been so awful, not getting this album done sooner. But with my school year the way it was, it is amazing that I got anything accomplished. So, as I have already said, it is my vision to have all of this wedding album done before the end of the summer. Or . . . who knows when it will get done.

Family of the Bride

I had Jade take some pictures for me so I could blog some pages. This one she took as two separate pictures, so you don't really get the best view; but at least it is here. Now I finally feel as if I got something accomplished . . . you should have seen these blogs yesterday . . . yucky!!

My Life My Love

I was so happy to get a picture of all of my children. They truly are what I live for and I love. I really enjoyed doing this page. The paper was wonderful. I added some lettering that were glossy accented, some lace and some flowers. I added a quote that seemed appropriate.

Faith's Grad Album

Well, I finally finished Faith's Grade 12 Grad Album. I began it months ago by taking white cardstock and stamping them entirely with Tim Holtz stamps and a couple of my own that were appropriate. I blended them (some lighter and some darker) but used one group of colors on all of the pages. I used a lot of bling and flowers and found some quotes that were very Faithish. I made the album 8 x 8 and Zuttered it. Then I used a stand and screwed the back chipboard page to the stand. Faith can look at either side and keep it on her desk and look at whichever page she wants.

Faith's Grad Album

Faith's Grad Album

It was very easy to take these pictures. Faith looked amazing in her dress. Her tan made it all that more spectacular. Her hair, nails and accessories made the look complete. It was great to see Jade, Sky and Lucas participate in the whole day. They all looked wonderful. It really made my parent's day when we visited the nursing home all dressed up. I think "Super Great" were the words my dad used to describe Faith. Spectacular, beautiful, amazing and gorgeous were other words other people used to describe her.

Faith's Grad Album

I loved making this book for Faith. I knew she would appreciate the time and thought it took. Eventhough I did 32 pages, I doubt I will put all of the pages on my blog.

Faith's Grade 12 Grad

Wow, what a busy few days. Grad went along wonderfully. Faith looked absolutely beautiful and we had a great day for taking pictures. We went to the river for a few hours and had so much fun with her and her dress. Grad ceremonies and banquet and dance were nice. I had all of my children together for the day which doesn't happen much anymore. I have to get out and get some of these pictures printed today before I go to work. Pages and the albums should be done soon.

One Crazy Day

Well, I have tried to get some pages up. I did these five last night after work. I sat and watched the most depressing movie and then decided to watch a comedy afterward to cheer myself up. I did these at the same time. I have been busy with work and with our store's 10th Anniversary weekend, it has been crazy. Faith's Grade 12 Grad is on Thursday, staff parties, etc., will make this week completely nuts. Apparently I am Faith's official photographer for her grad experience. So it looks like I will have a ga-zillion photos by Friday. She finally got her dress after the fiasco of getting it in at the wrong size and only having weeks to re-order, re-make and re-ship it from China. Well, we got it, got it altered and she came to try it on at JSI during the Anniversary weekend. I'd have to say it was a hit with the ladies . . . and really Faith did look gorgeous in her princess dress. You will see it soon enough on my blog.
Just another page done with older pictures. The journaling is on a circle that can be pulled out. Got to get some rest now. I've been sick since Easter and can't shake this bug. I am exhausted!

Picture Perfect Ballerina

Sky and I could not remember the name of the dance she did in this costume. I do remember though that she loved the dress and the flowers that surrounded her head and the top of the organza apron. She has her stage make-up on and was very happy to pose for a few pictures. Ahhh, they grow up so fast.
